GIBSONIA – Employees from Consolidated Communications recently made a cash donation and gave several craft and camp items to the Woodlands Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young adults with disability and chronic illness.
Employees recently presented a check for more than $360 to the organization along with the supplies. The funds and supplies were gathered by employees during a recent Game Day sponsored by the Spirit Team, a group of Consolidated Communications employees who are responsible for organizing activities within the company.
“We're pleased to make this donation on behalf of our employees to the Woodlands Foundation and support its mission of enriching the lives of children and adults with disability and chronic illness,” said Michelle Grubbs, Consolidated Communications employee and Spirit Team member.
The Woodlands Foundation focuses on addressing the physical, social and emotional needs of individuals through its many programs to instill self-sufficiency, self-confidence and personal success for participants. All programs offer children and young adults structured activities to promote social interaction, awareness of the environment, appreciation of the arts and physical activity.
