New Taylorville/Pana area phone book delivered in smaller size

Consolidated Directory also feature new app for iPhone users

MATTOON – Area residents may notice their 2011-2012 Official Phone Book of Consolidated Communications features a smaller format than previous years. The new book, delivered over the past few weeks to local residents, is printed in a smaller format size to save paper and make the book easier to store.

Keeping the environment in mind, the Phone Book of Consolidated Communications is also printed on recycled paper and uses environmentally safe inks.

Users can always use the online version to search for business and residential numbers. The new book is also available through an easy-to-use mobile format and an iPhone application, giving users the ability to search for yellow page listings while they’re on the go.

The online and mobile directory can be searched by keywords and phrases in addition to the traditional yellow page headings, and both versions also provide maps, driving directions and a link to many advertiser Web sites.

The printed directory also includes easy-to-read white and yellow page listings, and features several pages of Taylorville and Pana community information, city maps and handy governmental listings.

Area residents are encouraged to recycle their old phone books by dropping them off at the Consolidated Communications Taylorville Communication Center at 216 North Webster Street, the Taylorville Chamber of Commerce or the Pana Chamber of Commerce.
