MATTOON – Consolidated Communications is now offering its digital TV service to the residents
of Arcola. Consolidated’s Digital Video Services (DVS) provides high quality digital video service to
subscribers through their existing telephone lines and provides subscribers with an alternative to cable or
satellite.
DVS offers up to 200 all digital local and premium channels, digital audio channels, Pay Per View
programs and Movies on Demand. Movies on Demand allows subscribers to instantly view an individual
title, or a set of titles, and have the ability to use interactive functions, such as play, stop, pause, etc., via
remote control.
Consolidated’s DVS also offers an exclusive channel – Your 13, the Community Connection
Channel – to subscribers. The channel is a production of WEIU-TV and features a variety of programming,
such as Scholastic Educational TV, student-produced news broadcasts, and The Home Show featuring
pictures and information about properties for sale in central Illinois. The Classic Arts Showcase, which
highlights excerpts of famous theater and musical performances, is available on Your 13 at selected times
and all day on Channel 19 on the Consolidated DVS line up. Another regular feature on Your 13 is WEIUFM’s
morning radio program – Wake Up Live.
The Select Digital package includes more than 70 channels, including local channels, for as low as
$36.95 per month. Expanded Digital packages feature all the Select Digital channels, plus 30 additional
channels for as little as $47.95 per month. Premium channel packages can be added to either the Select or
Expanded Digital packages for $12.95 per month. Combinations of premium channel packages are available
starting at $21 per month.
