MATTOON— Consolidated Communications is now offering its digital TV service to the residents of Witt and Irving. Consolidated’s Digital Video Services (DVS) provides high quality digital video service to subscribers through their existing telephone lines and provides an alternative to cable or satellite.
"We have made significant investments in equipment and our network to ensure we provide the highest quality service available," said Joseph Dively, senior vice president and president of Telephone Operations. "By utilizing new technologies and existing telephone lines, Consolidated Communications can now deliver exceptional quality TV service to the residents of Witt."
Instead of using a satellite or cable, Consolidated’s DVS is delivered to customers via existing telephone lines. The service includes up to 200 all-digital local and premium channels, digital audio channels, Pay Per View programs and Movies on Demand, among other features.
"For more than 100 years, Consolidated Communications has delivered preferred telecommunications products and services to customers in Central Illinois," Dively said. "Now the residents of Witt and Irving will also be able to count on Consolidated to deliver exceptional TV entertainment services."
DVS is available in three packages, with pricing beginning as low as $21.95. All video packages also include an interactive program guide, remote controls, a digital gateway box that provides service to up to six televisions and free initial installation by Consolidated Communications technicians.
DVS can also be packaged with Consolidated’s telephone and DSL service to provide greater savings to customers.
