Consolidated Communications employee retires after 27 years of service

LUFKIN, Texas – Consolidated Communications honored Sammie Gammill recently, who retired
after working 27 years for the local telecommunications provider. Gammill first started her
telecom career in 1977 as an operator, and retired in the same role this month. With more than a
quarter century of service, she truly was an asset to the company and will be missed by her
colleagues. Family, coworkers, and friends turned out recently to wish her good luck during a
retirement party held in her honor at the Consolidated office located on North First Street in
Lufkin.
