SureWest Takes on the Consolidated Communications Name

Change Reinforces ‘One Company, One Vision’ for CCI

March 25, 2014 – Consolidated Communications, Inc. (CCI) announced that effective today, it will begin doing business in its SureWest markets under the “Consolidated Communications” name and brand.

“This is an exciting time for our company, our customers and our employees,” said Consolidated Communications President & COO Bob Udell. “Using the Consolidated Communications name in our California and Kansas markets helps us operate as one united company with a keen focus on providing innovative products at competitive prices while maintaining the highest levels of customer service.”

CCI completed its acquisition of SureWest on July 1, 2012 and announced its decision to change the name of the company in the Greater Sacramento and Greater Kansas City markets in October 2013. Current customers will not be required to change their email addresses.

Consolidated Communications is one of the largest independent telecommunications providers in the U.S., with operations in six states. In 2013, the company reported $601.6 million in revenue with approximately 746,000 service connections.
