Consolidated Communications Contributes to Scouting Centennial Plaza

June 21, 2012 - Consolidated Communications recently presented a check for $1,000 to the Cranberry Township Community Chest as a contribution to the creation of Cranberry’s Scouting Centennial Plaza and Fishing Lake in Butler County’s Graham Park.

The project is designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts in 1910 and the Girl Scouts in 1912.  The plaza and lake will reflect the impact and success of the last 100 years of scouting and the importance of scouting for the next 100 years.

John Taggart, Consolidated Communications General Manager, presented the check recently to representatives of the Boy Scouts and Cranberry Township. “The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America play invaluable roles in the development of our youth, and Consolidated Communications is honored to play a part in creating the Scout Centennial Plaza to celebrate these great organizations,” he said.

CTCC Treasurer Bruce Mazzoni thanked Consolidated Communications for the support to the scouting project and other community projects.
