November 20, 2013 – A social media promotion by Consolidated Communications netted the Montgomery County United Way a $500 gift recently.
The telecommunications provider held a contest on its Facebook page inviting users to “like” the page. For each new “like,” the company awarded the local United Way chapter $1.
Consolidated Communications employees Lindsey Witt and Rhetta Bobo recently made the presentation to Nicole Robinson Gauthier, Vice President of Investor Strategies for the Montgomery County United Way.
The promotion was open during September to residents in Texas, Illinois and Pennsylvania. The company is also presenting checks to the Butler County United Way in Butler, Pennsylvania and the United Way of Coles County in Mattoon, Ill.
