Consolidated Communications Foundation Awards $170,000 in Grants in Greater Sacramento

More than 100 local non-profits benefit from employee generosity                                                                                                       

March 12, 2018 – The California chapter of the Consolidated Communications Foundation is pleased to announce it disbursed over $170,000 in grants, sponsorships and charitable gifts to more than 100 non-profit organizations in the greater Sacramento area.

These contributions were made possible by the generosity of Consolidated Communications employees who give to the Consolidated Communications Foundation in support of causes and agencies they deeply care about. Doubling the impact of employee contributions, Consolidated Communications has matched employee donations.

“Giving back to the communities Consolidated serves has always been a core value of the company and our employees,” said Joseph Glenn, senior director of consumer sales and California foundation president at Consolidated Communications “I am proud of our employees’ generosity and the company’s commitment to enhancing the health and vibrancy of our local community.” 

Since its inception in 1992, the California chapter of the Consolidated Communications Foundation has given more than $5 million to non-profit organizations in the region. The Foundation’s giving focuses on addressing vital community needs, in keeping with employees’ philanthropic passions.

In 2017, the Foundation provided:

  • $25,000 for children and family services, including Sierra Forever Families, Supporting the Taylor House and the Placer Care Coalition.
  • $31,000 for physical and mental health services, including Community Recovery Resources, Placer Breast Cancer Foundation and Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center.
  • $25,000 for organizations addressing hunger and homelessness, including St. John’s Shelter, Women’s Empowerment and the River City Food Bank.
