Our Environmental Commitment

At Consolidated Communications, we are committed to preserving and sustaining the natural environment and we know our actions have direct and indirect impacts on our local, regional and global footprint.

In 2022, we continued our focus on sustainable business practices with regular meetings of a cross-functional team tasked with monitoring and reviewing our environmental initiatives. The work of this group is driving new company benchmarks, data collection, goals and measurements while developing increased company accountability.

The shift to a larger remote workforce, originally resulting from employee safety measures at onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, has become a long-term practice. By maintaining a remote workforce for approximately half of our employees, we continue to reduce our physical footprint and we continue to evaluate our office and physical space needs. The transition continues to deliver important reductions in energy consumption, waste, and supply usage, which are critical to our ongoing sustainability efforts and expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Our commitment is also demonstrated through a number of actions and initiatives, including ensuring our 1,600+ buildings and facilities are in compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and laws, and continuously evaluating how we can operate our business more sustainably to minimize its impact on the Earth and environment to ensure the long-term success of our company.

Tracking our Environmental Impact
