Dedicated Bandwidth & Reliability to Support Cloud Applications

Like many organizations, your IT strategy likely includes cloud services. Perhaps you are using a cloud service provider, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), as a sandbox environment for your development teams. Maybe you’ve migrated some critical production workloads to the cloud. Or, maybe your school or business is looking to leverage Office 365, Gmail, or Google Docs.

Whether you are all in on public cloud services, or have a more measured hybrid cloud strategy, it is imperative that your network provide the necessary bandwidth and reliability to support your cloud-based applications.

Secure, Dedicated Connections

Consolidated Communications’ Cloud Peer Connect provides highly secure, reliable, flexible and dedicated access to cloud resources such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle FastConnect. With Cloud Peer Connect, cloud traffic does not compete with less critical web traffic.

Cloud Peer Connect is made up of two components:

  • An Ethernet Virtual Circuit (EVC), which provides a connection to Consolidated's nearest point of presence (PoP).
  • A virtual cross-connect (VXC), which provides a direct connection from the Consolidated PoP to the cloud service provider, bypassing the public Internet.

Business Benefits

  • Network performance – Dedicated connections, redundancy, and diverse routes ensure your critical cloud-based workloads get the network performance they require to improve business productivity.
  • Security – Cloud traffic does not traverse the public Internet. Direct connections to cloud service providers ensure lower latency and mitigates security risks, such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
  • Multiple Cloud Service Providers – Support includes AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle FastConnect.
