November 22, 2013 – A social media promotion by Consolidated Communications netted the United Way of Coles County a $500 gift recently.
The telecommunications provider held a contest on its Facebook page inviting users to “like” the page. For each new “like,” the company awarded the local United Way chapter $1.
Consolidated Communications employee Sarah Greider recently made the presentation to Carolyn Cloyd, Executive Director of the United Way of Coles County.
The promotion was open during September to residents in Texas, Illinois and Pennsylvania. The company is also presenting checks to the Butler County United Way in Butler, Pennsylvania and the Montgomery County United Way in The Woodlands, Texas.
