Roseville, Calif. – June 29, 2018 – The California chapter of the Consolidated Communications Foundation is pleased to announce it awarded more than $90,000 in grants, sponsorships and donations to local nonprofits in the first half of 2018.

The Consolidated Communications Foundation is funded by employee contributions and a company-supplied matching gift. The Foundation operates with zero administration costs, allowing 100 percent of donated funds to go directly to the causes and organizations employees care about.

"The Foundation supports the organizations and causes our employees care deeply about," said Joseph Glenn, senior director of consumer sales and California foundation president at Consolidated Communications. "Following our employees’ lead, the Foundation has focused on supporting smaller organizations working right in our neighborhoods, like the Taylor House and Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center."

Since the Foundation was started in 1992, more than $5 million has been donated to hundreds of non-profit organizations. Over the years, the foundation’s funding priorities have been refined, aiming to support smaller organizations, especially those focusing on hunger and homelessness, children and families, and physical and mental health services.

So far in 2018 the Consolidated Communication Foundation provided:

  • $28,250 to organizations addressing hunger and homelessness.
  • $35,700 to organizations helping children and families.
  • $22,000 to nonprofits providing physical and mental health related services.

Consolidated Communications Foundation grants are awarded on an annual basis through a grant application process, open from November to January. More information about the foundation is available at consolidated.com/community.
