Roseville Telephone Museum and Consolidated Communications Hosting Community Event July 13

Celebrating Heritage Trail Museum Tour and Consolidated’s 125th Anniversary with extended museum hours, free family fun

Roseville, Calif. – June 24, 2019Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL), a leading broadband and business communications provider, is marking 125 years of telecom innovation by teaming up with the Roseville Telephone Museum for a free event on July 13.

Roseville Telephone Museum will open to the public with extended hours as part of the Heritage Trail Museum tour. In honor of the event, the museum is debuting a new interactive exhibit detailing the concurrent timelines of Consolidated Communications and Roseville’s history of telecom development. Volunteer docents are on hand to show telephones designed by Alexander Graham Bell, guide visitors through hundreds of historic and novelty telephone models, demonstrate vintage switchboards and operate a working telegraph.

At the same time, outside the museum, Consolidated Communications will be celebrating the company’s 125th anniversary with music provided by local radio station 106.5 The End, games, technology demonstrations, and free hot dogs and snow cones while supplies last.

“We’re excited to join Heritage Trail again this year,” said Gabe Waggoner, executive vice president of operations for Consolidated Communications. “Pairing up this annual celebration of Roseville’s history with Consolidated’s 125 anniversary felt like a perfect fit, so we thought we’d invite the community. I’m especially proud of our new exhibit illustrating how Roseville’s telecom history grew up at the same time as Consolidated’s, right until our stories merged in 2012.”

Heritage Trail Museum Tour is an annual summer-long event featuring 26 museums from Roseville to Tahoe. Museums open their doors free of charge, encouraging visitors to dive deeper into the rich history and traditions of the region.
