Employees select charitable organization to receive contribution in recognition of Company’s 125th anniversary
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Nov. 21, 2019 – Consolidated Communications, Inc., (NASDAQ: CNSL) a leading broadband and business communications provider, has donated $1,250 to the Bennington Project Independence in celebration of the company’s 125th anniversary.
Consolidated is marking this milestone year by making special contributions each month to organizations across the country in its service areas. The gifts – selected by employees – are in addition to Company’s annual giving programs.

Clients of the organization joined the check presentation ceremony.

Bennington Project Independence is a not-for-profit agency that provides comprehensive, cost-effective Adult Day Services for Vermont adults over age 18 who may face the challenges associated with aging and/or disability. Its mission is to encourage the vitality, health and well-being of older or disabled adults, enabling them to continue residing at home while supporting and providing respite to their families and caregivers.
“We, at Bennington Project Independence, Adult Day Service, are truly honored to be selected as part of Consolidated Communications’ 125th anniversary celebration,” said Linda Wichlac, executive director of the organization. “We’d like to thank the employees for choosing us and are very grateful for the generous donation to our program. Consolidated Communications’ gift will help BPI provide comprehensive and innovative Adult Day Services for older people, younger adults with disabilities and their family caregivers throughout Bennington County.”
Throughout the year, Consolidated Communications employees will continue to select a different non-profit organization each month to receive this commemorative donation. The Company’s gift already has been awarded to nonprofits in Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Florida, New York, Maine, Kansas and Texas.
