Consolidated's Pioneer Club Gives $4,100 to Local Organizations

December 2, 2015 - Consolidated Communications’ Iverson A. Lumpkin Pioneer Club recently gave $4,100 to 14 several local charitable organizations in the company’s service area. 

At a recent reception at Consolidated Communications, the club presented checks to the following organizations: Camp Care-A-Lot, Springfield; Camp New Hope, Neoga; Coles County Lifespan Center, Charleston; Compassionate Friends, Mattoon; Coles County Mental Health – SASS, Mattoon; Embarrass River Basin Agency, Charleston; Public Action to Delivery Shelter (PADS), Mattoon; St. Vincent DePaul Society, Mattoon; Charleston Area Churches Food Pantry, Charleston; Mattoon Community Food Center, Mattoon; Litchfield Food Pantry, Litchfield;  Nokomis Food Pantry, Nokomis; and Shelby County CEFS Outreach, Shelbyville; and Catholic Charities, Effingham.

The Mattoon-based chapter of the Pioneer Club is part of the national Telecommunications Pioneers organization and includes employees and retirees of Consolidated Communications. The club holds employee events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for local organizations and a scholarship program.
