Employee generosity funded more than $19,000 in charitable gifts to agencies serving critical needs in the community
Lenexa, Kan. – Feb. 17, 2021 – The Kansas chapter of the Consolidated Communications Foundation is pleased to announce it provided $19,150 to 44 Kansas City area nonprofit organizations in 2020.
The Consolidated Communications Foundation is funded by employee contributions and a generous gift from the Company. The foundation board consists of Consolidated Communications employees and operates with no administration costs, allowing 100 percent of donated funds to go directly to the nonprofit organizations providing services in the community.
“During a uniquely challenging year, our employees continued to step up and support their community,” said Matt Young, network engineer for Consolidated Communications and vice president of the foundation. “I’m impressed and awed by our employees’ generosity and ongoing community engagement.”
Since 1992, the Consolidated Communications Foundation has given $5.5 million to nonprofits serving the local community. In Kansas, the foundation focuses on funding agencies serving children and families, addressing hunger and critical needs, and those offering health and mental health support.
