Grants empowered 88 nonprofits in fulfilling their missions

Roseville, Calif. Feb. 23, 2022 – The Consolidated Communications California Foundation is pleased to announce it provided more than $111,000 to support 88 nonprofit organizations in 2021.

“The last two years have been especially tough on nonprofits in our region,” said Marla Ellis, manager of Accounting for Consolidated Communications and president of the board of the Consolidated Communications Foundation. “We’re proud of our employees for stepping up and giving so generously during this challenging time when the need has been increasing and fundraising opportunities have been interrupted.”

The Consolidated California Foundation is funded by employee contributions and a generous gift from the Company. The foundation board consists of Consolidated Communications employees and operates with no administration costs, allowing 100 percent of donated funds to go directly to the nonprofit organizations providing service in the community.

Since 1992, the Consolidated California Foundation has given more than $5.5 million to nonprofits serving the local community focused on organizations addressing hunger and homelessness, children and families, and physical and mental health.

In 2021 the foundation provided more than $42,000 to dozens of organizations supporting children and families; $21,000 supporting nonprofits addressing health and healthcare needs; and more than $20,500 to organizations providing hunger or homeless services.
