When it comes to truly connecting with buyers via social media, the competition is fierce, with most small businesses vying for top-of-mind recognition.

In an effort to stand out from the crowd, small business owners must understand that the key to social media marketing is to not look at it as a chore. Rather, social media should be incorporated as one more part of an overall marketing strategy, with a goal of staying in touch with customers in a relevant space where they are most active.
