November 20, 2013 – A social media promotion by Consolidated Communications netted the Butler County United Way a $500 gift recently.
The telecommunications provider held a contest on its Facebook page inviting users to “like” the page. For each new “like,” the company award the local United Way chapter $1.
Consolidated Communications General Manager John Taggart and Communications Specialist Kari Geyer made the presentation recently to Barb Shaffer of the Butler County United Way.
The promotion was open during September to residents in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Texas. The company will also be presenting checks to the Montgomery County United Way in The Woodlands, Texas, and the United Way of Coles County in Mattoon, Ill.
