Consolidated Communications Foundation Awarded 91 Nonprofit Organizations

Employee generosity drives more than $125,000 in charitable gifts

The California chapter of the Consolidated Communications Foundation is pleased to announce it provided $125,600 to 91 nonprofit organizations in 2019.

The Consolidated Communications Foundation is funded by employee contributions and a generous gift from the Company. The foundation board consists of Consolidated Communications employees and operates with no administration costs, which allows 100 percent of donated funds to go directly to the nonprofit organizations providing service in the community.

“As California continues to experience growing inequality and a homelessness crisis, I’m struck by the generosity or our employees,” said Joe Glenn, senior director of small and medium business sales, and foundation president for Consolidated Communications. “Our team continue to show their willingness to give, and readiness to answer the call to help their communities. Each year, I’m inspired by our employees’ generosity in supporting dozens of nonprofits making change in our neighborhoods.”

Since 1992, the Consolidated Communications Foundation has given $5.5 million to nonprofits serving the local community. In California, the foundation focuses on organizations addressing hunger and homelessness, children and families, and physical and mental health.

In 2019 the foundation focused on many smaller nonprofit organizations that fill critical needs, but may not be as well-known as national agencies.

“Over the years, our foundation donors have shown their preference for keeping their donations hyper local,” added Joe Glenn. “A number of our most popular nonprofits are walking distance from our offices in Roseville. It’s gratifying to support agencies who depend on smaller donations to fulfill their missions.”

Consolidated Communications Foundation donations are awarded on an annual basis through a funding application process, open from November to Jan. 15. More information about the Foundation is available at consolidated.com/community
