ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Aug. 22, 2022 – The Roseville Telephone Museum will welcome the local community with extended hours and all-ages fun on Aug. 27 starting at 10 a.m.

The event, made possible with support from Consolidated Communications and Fidium Fiber, is part of Placer County’s annual Heritage Trail and gives our community the chance to learn about Roseville’s history through the lens of telecommunications, at one of Northern California’s best hidden gems.

The free event includes a community fair from 10 a.m. until noon, offering free treats from local favorites:  Fig Tree Coffee, Randy Peters Catering and Kelli’s Cookies. Enjoy a bounce house, photo booth and games; Fidium Fiber will be onsite so you can experience multi-gig-speed fiber internet. Placer SPCA will be bringing some special furry guests, and everyone who donates to Placer SPCA during the event will get a free Fidium Fiber branded item.

The Roseville Telephone Museum will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can explore the museum’s extensive collection of telephones, switchboards and telecommunications technology, highlighting early Roseville history. The collection includes telephones designed by Alexander Graham Bell, novelty phones, Princess phones, telegraphs and more. The museum is a favorite for niche technology buffs and families alike.
