Consolidated Communications Donates $1,250 to Harvesters - The Community Food Network

Employees select organization to receive special donation in recognition of company’s 125th anniversary                                                                                                    

MATTOON, Ill. – Nov. 20, 2019Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL) a leading broadband and business communications provider, today awarded a special donation of $1,250 to Harvesters—The Community Food Network in Kansas City, Mo., in celebration of the company’s 125th anniversary.

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. The organization provides food and related household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters and children’s homes in addition to educational programs designed to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition.

The company is marking its 125th year in 2019 with special contributions each month to organizations across its 23-state service area. The gifts are made in addition to the company’s annual giving contributions within its markets.

Throughout the year, Consolidated Communications employees cast their votes to decide on the critical, community organizations that received a contribution in recognition of the company’s anniversary. In December, employees will decide on a special gift in Minnesota.
