Alert for Fraudulent Job Offers
Please be on alert for fictitious job offers. This type of fraud is typically perpetrated through unsolicited emails claiming to be from a Consolidated Communications hiring manager or recruiting team. The emails may in fact be Phishing emails designed to extract personal information and/or payment from the recipient. Please review Phishing information available at https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/small-businesses/cybersecurity/phishing.
Tips:
- Check the sender’s email address. If an email is not from a “@consolidated.com” email address, then the email is not from us.
- Consolidated will never ask for payment for work equipment, training or application processing fees.
- Interviews are not conducted through text or online chats.
- Consolidated would never send a check or payment for work equipment.
If you suspect you have received a fraudulent job offer, report it to local authorities or to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov
