Consolidated Communications Adds HBO NOW® to its Roster of Over-The-Top Services for Northern New England Customers

Customers now have access to unlimited HBO programming over Consolidated’s expanding high-speed broadband network

PORTLAND, Maine – Oct. 30, 2018 – Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL), a leading broadband and business communications provider, has enhanced its over-the-top live television streaming services for Northern New England customers by adding HBO NOW®, an on-demand, stand-alone streaming service, to its list of offerings. This means broadband customers will have unlimited access to all of HBO's programming over personal computers, smartphones, tablet devices and digital media players.

“As one of the first cable providers in the U.S. to offer HBO NOW, we’re excited to bring this exceptional content to our Northern New England broadband customers,” said Rob Koester, vice president of product management, consumer services at Consolidated Communications. “We think high-speed Internet customers looking to supplement their traditional TV package with on-demand content will appreciate gaining access to HBO NOW® original programming to enhance their TV viewing experience.”

Consolidated Communications continues to upgrade homes and businesses throughout Northern New England with a faster fiber network and increased broadband speeds. As it works to deliver on its commitment to increase broadband speeds throughout Northern New England, the company also is simultaneously expanding the array of services and content offerings the network provides.

HBO NOW® lets users stream all of HBO's original series (every season, every episode) plus hit movies, documentaries, sports and exclusive comedy specials, along with acquired films from its library, with no annual contract. HBO NOW® supports simultaneous streaming, which means that several members of the same household can sign in on different devices and stream different shows or movies at the same time. Cable or satellite TV is not needed to access programming.

Consolidated customers can sign up for a seven-day introductory free trial of HBO NOW. After signing up, the service is available on numerous devices, including: Amazon Kindle Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Cube, Android phones, tablets and TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Roku, Samsung Smart TV, and Xbox One and Xbox 360. Viewers can watch on the web, stream on up to five devices at once, and watch live TV in every room of the house.

Upon registration, customers sign in to watch their favorite HBO programming on their mobile device or on their computer at HBONOW.com. Following the introductory free offer, HBO NOW® will be available for a monthly subscription of $14.99. However, customers may cancel at any time. Customers also may choose to activate immediately or time the beginning of their service to coincide with their network installation.
